How can you use Recognition of Prior Learning?
Using RPL
If you have no formal qualifications, RPL can help you value and build on the learning, knowledge and skills that you have gained informally. Using this recognition can enable and motivate you to:
- more study
- more training
- provide evidence for part of an academic qualification or job application
- gain SCQF credit points
RPL is the recognition of learning which has been gained in the past - through work and life experiences, or through a more formal learning programme such as a course or qualification.
Using RPL, you are able to use evidence of work-based experience and learning or previous formal learning to support your personal and career development.
